    Arugula

    Produce Description:

Arugula is a leafy green commonly found in Spring Mix salad blends. Sometimes, arugula is referred to as “garden rocket.” It has a more robust flavor than romaine lettuce or iceberg lettuce. Arugula supports immune health, bone health, and aids in cancer prevention.

Arugula is high in antioxidants and vitamins. It gives the immune system a boost and helps prevent cancer.

The high levels of antioxidants in arugula aid in the prevention of free radical activity in the body, decreasing the risk of cancer. The carotenoids found in arugula help prevent macular degeneration and cataracts. The vitamin K in arugula acts as an anti-inflammatory and as an antioxidant.  The vitamin A in arugula helps with eye, skin, bone and teeth health.
